May 18-20 Friday thru Sunday.
• Our mission: Assisting Security forces, parking, recruiting, program sales, meal preparation, cleanup, and communications. We will be sharing a meal with Security Forces Saturday night.

163rd Family Day - Mandatory Attendance for All
On Saturday 2 June at 0800 all squadron 45 members are required to attend the 163rd Family day. We will be supporting the families of the 163rd with a park picnic type event. We will be helping with food, and fun. Meet at March ARB in the parking lot behind the park shown at this link. Click Here My truck will be parked out front with all my amber lights flashing. Wear BDU's, if you don't have BDU's wear a squadron T-shirt and blue jeans. Please bring your Form 150. Click here for a map and directions.

• All families are asked to bring a dessert. • Coffee, Lemonade and Appetizers provided by squadron. • Squadron members are to wear Blues Uniform. • Cadets without blues should wear black slacks and white shirts.

Squadron 45 Cadets, (Seniors keep reading) If you have not gone to a BCS (Basic Cadets School), Here is your chance to go to one right here at March ARB. If you have already been to a BCS then consider sharing your knowledge with the new folks by applying for a staff position.

Group 3 Ground Team Training
I will be conducting GTM3 familiarization and preparation training at Riverside Airport in June. if you want to get started in Emergency Services this is the first big step after getting your GES Card. This will be a small class with no more that 10 Students. Sign up fast if you want to be a part of it. You must already have your GES card and be current in safety to sign up. See your email for more information.
When: Saturday 16 June. Where: Riverside Airport. Cost $Free.

Encampment 2012 23-30 JUNE
Basic Cadet Applications for California Wing Encampment 2012 are now being accepted. Cadets will participate in many exciting activities! These tentatively include: - Rifle Simulator - Orientation Flights - Model Rocketry - Drill Competition - Military Inspections - Obstacle Course Cadets will receive the opportunity to learn: - Teamwork - Discipline - Leadership Principles - USAF Drill and Ceremonies - USAF Uniform Wear
I expect any Cadet that has not gone to Encampment to sign up and go to this years Encampment. It will be one of the most important and most memorable things you ever do in your LIFE. Please take advantage of this great program. If you have any doubts about being ready for this experience please talk to me.

Ultimate Bear and Wings Challenge - Vandenberg AFB

Money For College
The Aero Club of Southern California, in order to assist air-minded young people in pursuit of their education, is offering 2012 scholarship grants.
1. Grants up to $2,500 each are available to current high school students who plan to pursue classroom studies in aviation or aerospace, and…
2. Grants up to $5,000 each are available to students currently pursuing aviation/aerospace classroom studies in a college, university or nationally accredited technical school. Click here for more info.

Order NowOrdering Uniform Supplies
In an effort to help everyone go home at a reasonable time. Uniform supply orders will no longer be taken at the end of the evening. If you need uniform supplies you will need to turn in a supply order form at the beginning of the evening. These will then be processed during the meeting and you can pay for these orders and pick them up at the end of the evening. This rule is in effect for Cadets as well as senior members. The Order and price sheets are available on the "Forms" link above.

Increased Security and New Gate List
Due to increased security, no one will be permitted on base unless they are on our approved gate list. If you have not provided me with your Full Name and Drivers License Number with state and Contact Phone, you will not be permitted on Base. THIS INCLUDES MEMBERS. Your CAP ID is not enough! You MUST be on the gate list.

Peanut Butter and Jelly (See the Flag Mama Video)
Thousands of our Troops pass through March ARB every month heading overseas and returning home. They are offered a quick meal while they wait for their next ride. A variety of foods are set out for them and the first to go is always the PB&J. Please help Flag Mama stock up. Bring in jar of peanut butter and jelly to the next meeting. (Flyer) Who is Flag Mama?
